У Гомельскай вобласці будзе пабудаваны смеццесарціровачны комплекс

In order to maximize the extraction of secondary raw materials, as well as the efficient use of municipal waste, a waste sorting complex will be built in the Gomel region. The capacity of the complex will be about 200 thousand tons per year and will allow sorting up to 70 percent of all municipal waste. Waste will be transported to the landfill from the regional center and six adjacent districts – Gomel, Chechersk, Vetka, Dobrush, Rechitsa and Loevsky. The complex will be located on an area of 38 hectares, of which 21 will be occupied by a landfill, 17 by a plant. 348 jobs will be created here. The normative period of all works will be no more than 45 months.

The construction of the waste sorting complex will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13 and other SDGs.

More information about the complex can be found at the link.
