On September 5, 2024, as part of the preparation of the Republic of Belarus for the Summit of the Future, the World Cafe “Sustainable Future” was held at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank.
The event was attended by SDG Youth Ambassadors, members of the Youth Parliament, representatives of ministries and departments, experts from UN agencies in the Republic of Belarus, volunteers of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Belarus (UNICEF), and representatives of the silver age.
In the format of discussions in small groups, World Cafe participants analyzed the results of a survey of young people in Belarus (from 15 to 24 years old) to determine their vision of the future, conducted from August 27 to September 2, 2024. The discussion of the vision of the future was held in five thematic areas:
The results of the survey and the groundwork of the World Cafe “Sustainable Future” will be used as the basis for the proposals of the Republic of Belarus on the content of the Pact for the Future dedicated to youth, which will be adopted at the Future Summit on September 22-23, 2024 at the UN headquarters.
