On December 20, 2022, a round table was held in Cherven, Minsk region, on the topic «Ideas and opportunities for entrepreneurship in agriculture. The secret of a successful business project».
Representatives of the Department of Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the Cherven and Vileika regional executive committees, the Belarusian Union of Women, Belinvestbank, business unions (associations), as well as women entrepreneurs of the region took part in the round table.
During the discussion, opportunities for the development of women’s business in agriculture, possible difficulties in this area of activity were discussed, and the current system of state support for SMEs was highlighted.
Support for women’s entrepreneurial initiatives contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, 10 and other SDGs.

In 2022, 800 km of republican roads, 1,450 km of local roads were repaired in Belarus, 35 bridge structures were reconstructed and repaired on republican roads. Among the most significant objects that were put into operation (reconstructed) are the bridge across the Western Dvina at the entrance to Novopolotsk, the road junction along the street. Cosmonauts in Grodno, bridge over the Berezina in Borisov. 4 overpasses were put into operation under the project «Republican bridges and reconstruction of the M3 highway».
Maintenance and development of the country’s road network makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goal 11 and other SDGs.

On December 22, 2022, a republican seminar-meeting on cluster development was held in Mogilev, organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus together with the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.
The participants of the seminar-meeting discussed issues of cluster development in the Republic of Belarus, tasks for the formation and development of clusters for 2023, barriers hindering the development of the cluster movement in Belarus, and exchanged experience in the formation and practical work of clusters in the Mogilev and Gomel regions. Important results of the meeting were the assessment of the work of the regional executive committees and sectoral state regulators on the formation and development of clusters provided for by the Program-2025, as well as the definition of an algorithm of actions for 2023 in relation to the implementation of the Set of Measures for the Implementation of the Cluster Model for the Development of the Economy of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2023.
The development of a cluster model of the economy contributes to strengthening competitiveness, increasing cooperation and innovative activity of enterprises, which makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9 and other SDGs.

In order to improve the activities of the special funds of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the social support of gifted pupils and students, for the support of talented youth, on December 16, 2022, the Head of State signed Decree №429 «On the activities of the special funds of the President of the Republic of Belarus».
The document is aimed at providing state support for the best representatives of gifted and talented youth, creating favorable conditions for the further development of their scientific and creative potential, and stimulating youth initiatives.
Annually, about 500 people are planned to be encouraged by the awards of the Fund for the Support of Gifted Youth, and about 150 people from the Fund for the Support of Talented Youth.
Also, in addition to Decree №429 «On the activities of special funds of the President of the Republic of Belarus», the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has developed a roadmap for accompanying gifted youth, which allows providing educational and professional support for young people who are included in the database of gifted and talented youth.
Providing state support for gifted and talented youth makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8 and other SDGs.

On December 14, 2022 a Republican webinar on the safe behavior of children and adolescents on the Internet was held, organized by «Mobile TeleSystems», the United Nations Children’s Fund in Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
The webinar was attended by more than 1,700 participants from all over the country. The listeners got acquainted with the concept of «cyberbullying», ways of recognizing it, as well as help tools that are available to victims of harassment on the Internet. In addition, the experts shared life hacks on the technical aspects of online security: how to properly set up your account on social networks and set passwords in applications, what information should not be shared so as not to become an object of harassment or a victim of scammers.

On December 20, 2022, an expanded meeting of the coordinating councils for the implementation of the projects «Strengthening the scientific and educational potential of the Republic of Belarus in the field of collecting and analyzing the use of demographic data to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals» and «Strengthening the capacity of the national statistical system of the Republic of Belarus in the field of collection, analysis and dissemination of demographic data for the country’s Sustainable Development Goals».
During the meeting, the participants discussed the results achieved in the implementation of projects for 2022, and also got acquainted with the data of the Demographic Resource Center, the results of a scientific study of the socio-demographic characteristics of single-parent families and the mechanisms for their formation in Belarus.
Improving the mechanism for collecting, analyzing and using country demographic data makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
On December 16, 2022, the XVI startup forum «Mogilev Invest Day» was held in Mogilev, which provided an opportunity for the authors of the most promising ideas to announce their project, communicate with experts, find mentors and receive investments for the implementation of their projects.
The event was organized by the Economy Committee of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, the Mogilev City Center for the Development of Small Business and the NGO «Investment Club «DEKRO».
The forum program included speeches by business idea authors, startup battles, crash tests of ideas, networking with businessmen, investors and mentors. In total, forum participants presented 25 startups that can be implemented in medicine, agriculture, everyday life, education, and the IT sector. Among them, an educational platform for doctors, mirror panels for greenhouses, a wallet for storing crypto assets, a biodynamic lighting lamp, nettle puree, etc.

On December 14-15, 2022, in order to involve students in the conservation of natural resources and environmental protection, a youth EcoMarathon was held on the basis of the Republican Center for Ecology and Local History.
The event was attended by students of institutions of general secondary education and additional education for children and youth, winners of district, city and regional gatherings of young ecologists, republican environmental competitions, actions.
The program of the event included discussion sessions on «Green Technologies», «Environment and Rational Use of Natural Resources», «Natural Heritage», an intellectual quiz «Erudites», a round table «Environmental projects: from idea to implementation», during which the children exchanged experience in effective management environmental social projects aimed at protecting the environment.

An enterprise for processing non-food animal raw materials with a capacity of 80,000 tons per year will be created on the basis of JSC «Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky». The plant construction project is included in the State Innovative Development Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025. The new plant will make it possible to process waste from the agricultural complex «Dzerzhinsky», which can later be added to the diet of animals.
The construction of a plant for the processing of non-food animal raw materials will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goal 12 and other SDGs.
