The Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs is holding a competition for investment projects of small businesses to provide them with state financial support.

On June 16, 2022, the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus supported the draft law «On the Rights of the Disabled and Their Social Integration». The draft law is a comprehensive document that integrates the provisions of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as well as the norms of the laws «On Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities in the Republic of Belarus» and «On Prevention of Disability and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities».
Particular emphasis in the draft law is placed on the formation in society of a respectful attitude towards the rights of people with disabilities, promoting their positive perception and active social role, creating an accessible environment and improving the quality of life.
Creating the necessary conditions for the realization of the rights of people with disabilities makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Chains 9, 10, 11, 16 and other SDGs.

On June 9, 2022, within the framework of the XXVIII International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies «TIBO-2022», the final of the international competition of start-up projects Belarus ICT Start-up Award was held. The competition was organized by the Minsk City Technopark with the support of the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus.
The main goal of the start-up project competition is to create conditions for the implementation of entrepreneurial initiatives in innovative activities, to promote the use of digital technologies and resources as an effective tool for the socio-economic and innovative development of the Republic of Belarus.
In 2022, 110 innovative enterprises and start-up projects took part in the competition, 20 of which were selected to participate in the final. The participants were awarded in the nominations «Best Innovative Project» and «Best Youth Startup Project». The main vector of developments in 2022 is medicine, the energy industry, IT solutions for business and educational projects.
The holding of the international competition of start-up projects Belarus ICT Start-up Award contributes to the formation of an entrepreneurial environment in the field of innovation, support of the start-up movement in the Republic of Belarus and contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 1, 8, 9 and other SDGs.

On June 9, 2022, within the framework of the II Digital Economy Forum, a thematic meeting «New approaches to reengineering and digitalization of administrative procedures» was held. During the event, the results of the first stage of optimization of the main approaches in the state regulation of the implementation of administrative procedures for business entities, reengineering of business processes of administrative procedures, prospects for the use of metadata in the development of information resources, systems, services, harmonization of state approaches to the conversion of administrative procedures into digital and others
Currently, 729 administrative procedures are included in the register. To restructure business processes for the implementation of administrative procedures and accelerate their digitalization, a specialized service and reengineering agency was created.
Reengineering and digitalization of administrative procedures make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 16 and other SDGs.

In the Republic of Belarus, about 250 thousand people with disabilities are provided with technical means of rehabilitation. The main manufacturer and supplier of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of social rehabilitation in Belarus is the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center». In 2021, the center produced more than 118 thousand different rehabilitation products. All products of the enterprise are manufactured and tested together with public associations and users of products.
In 2021 and the current period of 2022, the Belarusian Prosthetic and Orthopedic Restoration Center has mastered the production of 16 new serial products, 6 products are being tested, and registration certificates have already been received for 9 products.
The development of prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of social rehabilitation with the participation of people with disabilities make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 9, 10 and other SDGs.

On June 10-11, 2022, the republican STEAM-festival is being held on the basis of the educational institution «Gomel State University named after Francysk Skaryna». The theme of the 2022 festival is «Clean Water». Teams of educational institutions consisting of up to 4 students aged 10-17, accompanied by a team leader, are invited to participate.
At the festival site, the achievements of Belarusian science in the field of biology and physics are presented, master classes are held in the following areas: technology, design, engineering, mathematics, competitive events on the basics of modern programming in the Scratch environment, design based on the Arduino platform, creating interactive Internet applications with using HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

On June 8, 2022, a round table to discuss the provisions of the draft Concept of the State Policy for Regional Development of the Republic of Belarus was held at the site of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
Representatives of the scientific community and government bodies discussed the main trends in regional development at the present stage, approaches to assessing the results of the implementation of the Concept, issues of attracting investments to the regions, exchanged proposals for improving the draft document.

On June 7, 2022, within the framework of the program of the II Forum «Digital Economy», a seminar-meeting «Mechanisms for supporting green technologies and circular business models to accelerate regional development» was held. The seminar-meeting was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus jointly with the United Nations Development Program in the Republic Belarus.
The event was attended by representatives of the republican government bodies, local authorities, businesses, educational institutions, international organizations, innovation infrastructure entities.
During the seminar-meeting, the participants discussed the role of the start-up movement support network and small innovative entrepreneurship in creating a favorable business environment, key aspects of the development of the green and circular economy in accordance with the National Action Plan for the Development of the Green Economy in the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025 years, regional development with the use of green technologies, green solutions for the transition from «smart» cities to «smart» regions, the formation of additional tools for promoting the green economy, etc.
