From June 6 to June 10, 2022, the XXVIII International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies «TIBO-2022» was held in Minsk. The event is organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus with the participation of other state bodies, business, professional and scientific community, international experts.
The international forum is a unique platform for the exchange of advanced international experience in the field of information technology, the generation of innovative knowledge and the discussion of the prospects for the effective implementation of the latest technological trends in various sectors of the economy, the social sphere and the public administration system.
In 2022, the TIBO-2022 program includes more than 30 thematic events, including the plenary session «Digital Future», II Forum «Digital Economy», V Belarusian ICT Summit, IV Eurasian Digital Forum. Within the framework of TIBO-2022, an exhibition of IT projects of Belarusian and foreign companies has started. On the last day of the forum, the results of the Internet Award «TIBO-2022», the Belarus ICT Startup Award and the republican competition to support and develop youth initiatives «Agro 4.0» will be summed up.
The holding of the XXVIII International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies «TIBO-2022» contributes to the development and strengthening of international cooperation in the IT field and contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 17 and other SDGs.

Belarus is located in a zone of excessive waterlogging of the soil, so most reclamation systems are designed to drain land. 4948 reclamation systems were built to ensure compliance with the design standards for drainage.
Maintenance of functioning, reconstruction of reclamation systems is provided for in the State Program «Agricultural Business» for 2021-2025. In 2022, land reclamation organizations must ensure proper operation, restoration of hydraulic structures, with an emphasis on moisture reserves. It is also necessary to mow at least 160 thousand km of canals, remove tree and shrub vegetation for 3.5 thousand km, and repair about 4,000 water control structures.
Reconstruction of reclamation systems and efficient use of land makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 2, 9, 15 and other SDGs.

On June 3, 2022, the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Education for the Future» was held at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank.
The work of the Conference was organized in a hybrid format and brought together representatives of institutions of preschool, general secondary, vocational and higher education, representatives of institutions of additional education for adults, children and youth, SDG Youth Ambassadors, representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as well as teachers from Russia, Kazakhstan, China.
During the conference, the participants discussed the role of the teacher in promoting the principles of education for a sustainable future, the formation of an inclusive educational environment, the implementation of environmental education, regional experience in the implementation of ESD practices, and also identified the tasks and challenges of the comprehensive integration of ESD principles into national educational strategies, in the context of acceleration platforms specified in the Roadmap for the implementation of the SDGs in the Republic of Belarus and the priority areas of the ESD Roadmap-2030.

On June 1, 2022, in the village of Chechevichi, Bykhov District, the opening of the information tourist center «Chigirinsky Cluster: Partnership for Economic Growth» took place. The center provides tourists with the opportunity to get acquainted with the services that are provided in the area.

On May 30, 2022, the competition «Environmentally Friendly Farmer of Belarus – 2022» started in the Republic of Belarus. The main goal of the competition is to popularize advanced eco-friendly agricultural practices, as well as to support agricultural producers who promote innovative measures to reduce the runoff of pollutants from farms and fields.
Farms, personal subsidiary plots and other agricultural producers registered in the Republic of Belarus and operating in the catchment area of the Baltic or Black Seas in Belarus can take part in the competition.
To participate in the competition, you must fill out an application before June 27, 2022.

From May 30 to June 6, 2022, on the eve of World Environment Day, which is celebrated annually on June 5, environmental events are held in the Republic of Belarus, the main purpose of which is to raise public awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, its territorial bodies and subordinate organizations have prepared a program that includes more than 300 events in all regions of the country: meetings with schoolchildren, lectures at universities, environmental competitions and volunteer actions, open days, excursions to protected areas, free consultations and others.
Informing the population about the importance of environmental protection makes a significant contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13, 14, 15 and other SDGs.

In 2022, Belarus ranked 34th among 163 countries in the ranking of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals according to the report Sustainable Development Report. Countries are ranked by their overall score, which measures progress towards all 17 SDGs.
Belarus scored 76 points out of 100 possible. This score reflects the progress of the country as a whole in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and can be interpreted as a percentage of the achievement of the SDGs.

On May 31, 2022, on the eve of International Children’s Day and World Environment Day, the meeting of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus with SDG Youth Ambassadors and SDG Ambassadors – students 8- 10th grade gymnasium №19 in Minsk.
At the meeting, issues of involving children and youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals were discussed. Youth Ambassadors and SDG Envoys spoke about their initiatives and showed examples of concrete steps to achieve them.
Involving youth in achieving the SDGs makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the Republic of Belarus.

On May 25, 2022, the final session of the «Sustainable Workshops» project was held, organized by the Education for Sustainable Development Coordinating Center, the SDG volunteer team, as well as the Youth Ambassadors of SDG 5 «Gender Equality», SDG 6 «Clean Water and Sanitation», SDG 12 «Responsible consumption and production».
The main goal of the project was to promote the ideas of sustainable development among children and youth, the formation of eco-friendly habits and a «sustainable» lifestyle.
Within the framework of the project, 4 meetings were held, the participants of which were students of grades 8-10 of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium №19 in Minsk». Each meeting included a theoretical block dedicated to the objectives of the SDGs and an interactive block during which students completed practice-oriented thematic tasks.
During the Sustainable Workshops project, students discussed issues of biodiversity, financial literacy, energy saving and responsible consumption, and also developed sustainable habit trackers and created motivational posters.

A «green» transition to inclusive and sustainable growth is an important component of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and a strategic direction for cooperation between UN agencies and the Republic of Belarus. A key element of the «green» transition towards inclusive and sustainable growth is the green economy. The introduction of the principles of the green economy is focused on investment in renewable energy, energy efficient and resource-saving technologies, job creation, social and environmental benefits for people and the planet.
