From September 24 to November 20, 2018, the comics contest for Belarusian youth “Superheroes for Super Goals” will take place in Belarus. The contestants are challenged to create a superhero and the comic book story of his or her actions in support of Sustainable Development goals in Belarus.
The story can be performed in any drawing style or technique on paper (not exceeding A2 format) or in digital (.jpg and .png are accepted). Young Belarusians and stateless persons permanently residing in Belarus aged 12-12 years old can take part in the contest.
The comic book stories should be submitted with the filled application form (15KB) to sdgs.in.belarus@gmail.com or via post to the address: 220030, Minsk, 17 Kirova street, office 301, United Nations Development Program in the Republic of Belarus with a note “To comics contest for the best superhero for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals «Superheroes for Super Goals»”.
Individuals and groups of authors can participate in the contest. Each participant/group can submit only one comic book story.
The winners will be announced on sdgs.by and awarded with diplomas and prizes at the official ceremony.
The comic book contest is held within the framework of the project “Support to the National Coordinator on Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals and Strengthening the Role of the Parliament in the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals” financed by UNDP, UNICEF and UNFPA in the Republic of Belarus, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the local social fund “Dobra” and the Association “Education for sustainable development” and the Republican public association “Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs”.
