The ecological forum was held in Dzerzhinsk

On August 22-23, 2025, the XVIII Republican Environmental Forum was held in Dzerzhinsk under the slogan “In harmony with nature: Sustainable Consumption”.

The forum brought together more than 400 participants and became a unique platform for consolidating various groups of society to share experiences, discuss environmental issues and form key decisions in the field of ecology and sustainable development of Belarus.

Within the framework of the forum, environmental actions, master classes, contests and other activities were organized, as well as a rich business program dedicated to the most pressing issues of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources. Special attention was paid to regional climate adaptation, the principles of circular economy, the conservation of ecosystems and biodiversity, the development of ecotourism, and the involvement of young people in solving environmental problems. The forum’s discussions focused on the relationship between environmental protection and sustainable development.

The key event of the forum was a plenary session on the theme: “The climate agenda of the regions of Belarus: a course towards a circular economy”. Each participant managed to find a suitable section for themselves. In total, the experts discussed more than 20 green topics.

The youth component of the forum was an eco-lounge area with activities and the initiative “Youth Climate Start!”, within the framework of which eco-volunteers and SDG Youth Ambassadors conducted master classes and talked about practical tools for climate-friendly actions.

The holding of the Republican Environmental Forum contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
