Dear friends!
I am glad to welcome you at the Second National Forum on Sustainable Development in Minsk.
By signing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2015, together with the member states of the United Nations, Belarus assumed corresponding obligations.
To this end, over the course of 9 years, the state has ensured progressive economic growth, deepened social integration, and introduced new environmental initiatives. Thanks to the systematic work of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals achievement, the republic consistently occupies high places in this global project.
At the same time, I am sure that the successful implementation of the Agenda is impossible without international solidarity and full-fledged partnership.
I am convinced that the current Forum will not only become a clear demonstration of Belarus’ progress in the SDGs achievement, but will also turn into a full-fledged dialogue platform for the exchange of best practices. And numerous foreign guests will appreciate the famous national hospitality of the Belarusians and the beauty of our wonderful country.
I wish all participants of the Forum fruitful work and new successes in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
