An interactive map on the state of the mineral resource base will be launched in Belarus – a tool for quickly obtaining geological information necessary for making management decisions in the field of geological study of subsoil and subsoil use, and development of the mineral resource base.

The map will reflect information about mineral deposits in the context of districts and regions of Belarus, information about the degree of their exploration, available reserves, as well as the degree of development of the deposit. The system will make it possible to make a selection according to various criteria, display them on a cartographic basis and automatically generate analytical reports on the state of selected objects or on the state of the mineral resource base of the selected region. The system is currently undergoing testing and will be publicly available by the end of 2024.

The functioning of an interactive map on the state of the country’s mineral resource base will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 15 and other SDGs.

More detailed information about the current accounting system for all identified objects in the subsoil of Belarus can be found at the link.
