Campaign “100 gadzin z A1”

From June 1 to June 30, 2024 at the educational institution «Mogilev State University named after A.A. Kuleshov» will host the XIII International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference «Problems of Sustainable Development of the Regions of the Republic of Belarus and Neighboring Countries».

Main thematic areas of the conference:

  • «Regional sustainable development in the context of innovative transformation: social, economic and legal aspects»;
  • «Natural science aspects and digital technologies for sustainable development»;
  • «Student youth for the Sustainable Development Goals».

Teachers, graduate students, undergraduates, young scientists from higher education institutions, representatives of secondary specialized education institutions, business, and government authorities are invited to participate in the conference.

Applications will be accepted until May 15, 2024.

From June 1, 2024, electronic versions of the reports of the participants in the online conference will be posted on the website of the educational institution «Mogilev State University named after A.A. Kuleshova».

The XIII International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference «Problems of Sustainable Development of Regions of the Republic of Belarus and Neighboring Countries» will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 10, 11 and other SDGs.

On April 16, 2024, the information seminar on the Сontest of Pilot Initiatives for the Goals of Sustainable Development was held in Gomel.

More than 70 people took part in the event, of which 77% were women. The seminar was attended by representatives of the Gomel regional and district executive committees, local councils of deputies, educational and healthcare institutions, public organizations working in the field of support and development of children and youth, assistance to people with disabilities, as well as private commercial and non-commercial organizations in the field of innovative developments and local development.

The United Nations Development Program team presented the Regulations on the Сontest, requirements for Pilot Initiatives on the SDGs, and also demonstrated the process of submitting applications for the Сontest through a specially created platform sdgidea.by. In addition, together with a representative of the United Nations Population Fund, the experience of localizing the SDGs in Belarus was presented, as well as potential directions for future pilot initiatives in the context of 4 accelerators to achieve the SDGs in the Republic of Belarus.

The information seminar was organized by the Gomel Regional Executive Committee together with UNDP within the framework of the international technical assistance project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs” with financial support from the Russian Federation.

On April 16, 2024, the information seminar on the Contest of Pilot Initiatives on SDGs was held in Gomel.

The Contest of Pilot Initiatives on the SDGs is held with the support of the United Nations Development Program within the framework of the Joint Project “Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of SDGs” with financial support from the Russian Federation.

April 22, 2024 Coordination Center «Education for Sustainable Development» of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after. M. Tanka will conduct an Internet game «Energy of Life».

During the online game, schoolchildren, students, teaching staff, young people with an active lifestyle will be able to learn about alternative energy sources, create media content, and also immerse themselves in the meaning and values of SDG 7, as a condition for ensuring a better quality of life.

Fill out an application before April 21, 2024 to participate in the online game.

On April 2, 2024, the information seminar on the Competition of Pilot Initiatives on the Sustainable Development Goals was held in Minsk.

More than 70 people took part in the event, of which 69% were women. The seminar was joined by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Minsk regional and district executive committees, educational institutions, social services, culture, public organizations working in the field of providing humanitarian assistance, supporting people with visual disabilities, children and young people with disabilities, as well as private companies in the field of tourism, banking, support for small and medium-sized businesses, the introduction of unmanned technologies in agriculture, and the production of automotive electronics.

During the seminar, the representative of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus elaborated on the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on international technical assistance, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus informed about the functioning of the national architecture for managing the process of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The United Nations Development Program team presented the Regulations on the Competition, requirements for Pilot Initiatives on the SDGs, and also demonstrated the process of submitting applications for the Competition through a specially created platform sdgidea.by.

From April 15 to May 1, 2024, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus is holding the campaign «For Safety Together». Its main goal is to prevent fires and deaths from them in the housing stock.

As part of the campaign, preventive measures will be organized aimed at ensuring that the population observes fire safety rules and increasing their awareness of the capabilities of government organizations to provide services in the field of fire safety, strengthening law and order, and crime prevention. The campaign plan also includes activities to visit households and apartments to assess the safety of living conditions, as well as conduct awareness-raising work on compliance with fire safety rules in workplaces.

Carrying out the campaign «For Safety Together» will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 8 and other SDGs.
