Vitebsk power engineers have implemented a mobile application for labor protection and industrial safety

Vitebsk power engineers have implemented a mobile application for labor protection and industrial safety

The pilot project «Risk Hunting» has been launched in Vitebsk, aimed at improving safety culture and will become an important element of the digital transformation of labor protection. The first to use the innovation was the branch «Vitebsk Electric Networks» of RUE «Vitebskenergo».

Using a mobile application, an employee enters information about dangerous places or situations that can lead to injury, and also reports labor violations at work. Information about the risk is received by the person responsible for the site for its subsequent elimination. All data on identified risks is entered into a single database and analyzed.

The new approach motivates workers to be more attentive to their own safety at work. This is one of the areas of comprehensive work within the framework of the concept of zero injuries, the main task of which is accident prevention.

The implementation of the project «Risk Hunting» will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goal 8 and other SDGs.

More detailed information about the project can be found at the link.
