The SDG quest was developed in the Mogilev region

The virtual center for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the state educational institution «Gymnasium of Mstislavl» and the Academy of Sustainable Development Goals have developed a virtual quest game «Journey Through the Sustainable Development Goals».

The quest helps schoolchildren in a playful way to learn about the Sustainable Development Goals and how they can change their lives and the lives of those around them to achieve them. The quest consists of 17 stages with simple tasks, which the girl Frida helps you figure out.

The quest game «Journey through the Sustainable Development Goals» contributes to the popularization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

On February 21, 2024, the workshop on working with the Regional Data Platform on Sustainable Development was held in Minsk. This Platform makes it possible to collect data on SDG indicators, monitor and evaluate them, compare the regions of Belarus with each other, and visualize regional development indicators in various contexts.

The workshop was attended by representatives of territorial state statistics bodies and republican government bodies – more than 60 people in total. Particularly important was the wide regional representation of participants, since each region of the country has its own specifics in achieving the SDGs and, accordingly, its own unique data sets.

The Platform is hosted on the resources of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus at sdgregions.belstat.gov.by, and not only specialists, but also anyone who is interested in the issues of achieving the SDGs and the characteristics of various regions of Belarus in this regard can use the data.

The workshop was organized by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus with the support of the United Nations Development Program in Belarus within the framework of the international technical assistance project «Support to the Efforts of the Republic of Belarus in Nationalization and Localization of the Sustainable Development Goals», funded by the Russian Federation.

On February 9, 2024, the meeting was held in Minsk with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, UN agencies, and educational institutions on the issue of social inclusion in the work of the SDG Youth Ambassadors.

The following issues were discussed:

  • conducting trainings for SDG Youth Ambassadors aimed at developing inclusive competence;
  • training SDG Youth Ambassadors in effective communication skills;
  • formation of a group of experts to provide advisory assistance to SDG Youth Ambassadors in the development and implementation of inclusive initiatives;
  • adaptation of a training guide created for people working in the field of inclusive education (myths, stereotypes, exercises) for working with SDG Youth Ambassadors;
  • visits by SDG Youth Ambassadors to educational institutions with integrated and inclusive forms of education in order to study their work experience, etc.

Integration of inclusion issues into the activities of the SDG Youth Ambassadors of the IV convocation will make an important contribution to the development of inclusive competence among young people, as well as to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 10 and other SDGs.

The State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, with the participation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the public association «Belarusian Republican Youth Union», and the Belarusian Innovation Fund is holding a Republican Сontest of innovative projects in 2024.

The contest considers socially significant innovative projects at various stages of implementation with a commercialization strategy that correspond to the priority areas of scientific, scientific, technical and innovative activities. The competition is held in the categories «Best Innovation Project» and «Best Youth Innovation Project». Participants in the contest can be legal entities and individuals. Individuals whose age does not exceed 35 years take part in the «Best Youth Innovation Project» nomination.

The application for participation in the Republican Сontest of Innovative Projects must be completed before August 1, 2024.

The Republican Сontest of Innovative Projects makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 10, 11 and other SDGs.

February 16, 2024 at the state institution «Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after. M. Tank» held a methodological forum «Teaching. Promoting. Acting».

The forum was the final event of the II Republican Contest of Teaching Materials «Teaching. Promoting. Acting» and included an award ceremony for the contest laureates, a presentation of the best works, and an open class hour «Sustainable Development Goals» in the format of a lesson for adults.

In total, 412 works were submitted for participation in the contest of teaching materials, the authors of which were students of pedagogical classes, students of pedagogical specialties, educators, teachers, methodologists, and additional education teachers. The winners of the contest were the authors of 32 competitive works.
