The Belarusian State University became one of the founders of the new University Network of Research Cooperation iUNRC – a unique platform for communications between experts and scientists from different countries, aimed at creating a modern platform for global cooperation and training of specialists in the information age.
The network participants included heads of universities from 12 countries: Belarus, China, Argentina, Brunei, Malaysia, Morocco, Moldova, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Montenegro, Ethiopia and South Africa. The priority areas of interaction are: the area of big data for sustainable development, responsible consumption and production, industry, innovation and infrastructure, climate change, digital transformation of education, agriculture, health and welfare, disaster response and crisis management, sustainable, responsible and environmentally friendly mining of mineral resources, humanities and social sciences, heritage, history and sustainable development of territories.
The interaction of universities within the iUNRC University Network will facilitate the international exchange of cutting-edge information and resources, improving learning in the era of artificial intelligence, which will make an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

On November 3, 2023, a meeting of the National Council on Labor and Social Issues was held in Minsk.
During the meeting of the Council, a discussion took place on the implementation of the General Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus, republican associations of employers and trade unions for 2022–2024, as well as the Set of Measures for 2022–2023 aimed at reducing the shortage of workers in blue-collar professions, etc.
The implementation of state policy in the field of protection of labor rights, economic and social interests of citizens makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10 and other SDGs.

On October 31, 2023, the 1st Republican Forum «Organization of the work of tourist information centers» was held in Minsk.
During the forum, participants discussed the algorithm for the creation and operation of tourist information centers in the Republic of Belarus, modern requirements for their work, and ways to increase the tourism potential of the region on the Internet.
Today there are 12 tourist information centers in Belarus, and ten more are planned to be created by the end of 2023. In the future, we will hold visiting forums based on existing centers. The country is also working to create a unified system of tourist information centers in Belarus.
The creation and operation of tourist information centers is aimed at unlocking the potential of the regions, which makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 11, 12 and other SDGs.

In order to create a comfortable living environment and develop housing and communal services in Belarus, the state program «Comfortable Housing and Favorable Environment» for 2021–2025 is being implemented.
In order to improve the quality of drinking water supplied to consumers and develop water supply and sanitation systems, the subprogram «Clean Water» is being implemented, within the framework of which 111 iron removal stations were built in Belarus in 2023. By the end of 2025, about 800 stations are planned to be put into operation.
Improving the quality of drinking water makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 3, 6, 11 and other SDGs.

In Belarus, the Republican Center for Professional Certification and Simulation Training of Medical and Pharmaceutical Workers was opened on the basis of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Healthcare Workers of the Belarusian State Medical University.
The center operates on the principle of a simulation clinic, consisting of eight modules in which practical skills, communication and teamwork skills, quick decision-making in difficult situations, etc. are developed. Modules include an emergency and intensive care clinic, a pediatric and neonatology emergency clinic, a surgical clinic, an endoscopy room, an obstetrics and gynecology clinic, an ultrasound department, a dental clinic, anatomy and reflexology.

On October 30, 2023, an interactive discussion «Innovation Environment: Opportunities for Startups» was held in Minsk at the Hi-Tech Park business incubator.
During the event, representatives of the startup community from various fields exchanged knowledge about the possibilities of developing the environment for startup projects and attracting investments, got acquainted with the achievements of the High Technology Park and existing mechanisms for supporting startup projects in Belarus, as well as ideas and proposals for the successful development of the Belarusian startup ecosystem.
In addition, the Hi-Tech Park and OJSC «Belagroprombank» signed an agreement on cooperation and interaction on the development and support of the startup movement and small innovative entrepreneurship in the Republic of Belarus.

The industrial complex of the Republic of Belarus demonstrates high efficiency indicators. As of September 2023, the production growth rate exceeded 108%. The best achievements were noted in the production of cars, carriages, trucks, agricultural machinery, and televisions.

On October 27, 2023, a meeting of the public coordination environmental council under the Gomel Regional Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection was held in Gomel.
During the meeting, ecologists of large industrial enterprises, representatives of the public and university students discussed climate change issues, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, public participation in solving climate change problems, and a roadmap for the implementation of monitoring, reporting and verification systems.
Solving climate change problems in Belarus is developing in three directions: implementing projects to mitigate and prevent the consequences, adapting to the changes we are currently facing, and trading quotas for greenhouse gas emissions.

On October 27, 2023, as part of the Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week, round tables with representatives of the business community, a dialogue platform on entrepreneurship issues in the Republic of Belarus, were organized at the Minsk State College of Finance and Economics, as well as the «Young Entrepreneur» quiz – an interactive, competitive event on the topic of entrepreneurship.
Conducting events on entrepreneurship in educational institutions helps to increase motivation for learning and starting one’s own business, which contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8 and other SDGs.

On October 18, 2023, during the III Forum for International Cooperation «One Belt and One Road» in Beijing, the Republic of Belarus supported and joined the Framework Initiative for International Trade and Economic Cooperation in the field of the digital economy and green development.
This initiative is aimed at creating an open and safe environment between the participating countries, simplifying trade procedures, and bridging the digital divide. It consists of four parts: digital economic and trade cooperation, green development cooperation, capacity building, implementation and development prospects.
The Framework Initiative includes capacity-building, competency-building and up-to-date developments in digital and green areas that will make an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by the Republic of Belarus.
