On October 25-26, 2023, classes in the second block of the Republican educational project «Lessons of Sustainable Development» will start in Belarus. The classes will be held on the topic «Personal and professional development» and will be related to the issues of SDG 4 «Quality education», SDG 8 «Decent work and economic growth», SDG 9 «Industrialization, innovation and infrastructure».
The classes of the first thematic block «My world and my personal boundaries» were devoted to SDG 3 «Good health and well-being» and SDG 5 «Gender equality». During discussions, interactive exercises and assignments, project participants became familiar with the basic principles of health-saving behavior, the concepts of «gender» and «sex», analyzed the influence of gender stereotypes on self-realization in professional activities, etc.
The implementation of the Republican educational project «Lessons of Sustainable Development» helps to increase youth awareness of the SDGs, the formation of a «sustainable» lifestyle, as well as the popularization of the ideas and values of the Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period up to 2023.

In the Brest region, by 2025 it is planned to put into operation three complexes for the sorting and use of solid municipal waste and landfills for them. Each complex has its own service area: Brest – Brest, Brest, Zhabinkovsky, Malorita and Kamenets districts, Baranovichi – Baranovichi, Baranovichi, Lyakhovichi and Gantsevichi districts, Pinsk – Pinsk, Pinsk and Ivanovo districts.
At the moment, the implementation of the regional approach of the Brest zone is almost completed — the Brest waste processing plant receives waste from the territory of Brest, Brest, Zhabinkovsky and Kamenets districts, and the disposal of the remaining part of the waste after sorting takes place at the regional MSW landfill. The annexation of the Maloritsky district will be carried out after the landfill operating in the district is completely filled. In Baranovichi, the sorting complex was reconstructed, increasing its capacity to 74.8 thousand tons. The line is already receiving waste from the territory of the Baranovichi district, the remaining areas will be connected after the expansion of the regional landfill. For the Pinsk complex, it is planned to complete the reconstruction of the regional MSW landfill in 2023.

On October 25, 2025, a round table was held in Minsk on the topic «Solving socially significant issues through the development of entrepreneurial initiative».
Representatives of ministries, the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, the Department of Entrepreneurship, the Belarusian Women’s Union, as well as the scientific and business community took part in the event.
The event participants discussed promising areas for the development of social and family entrepreneurship in Belarus and analyzed in detail the issues that are holding them back. As a result of the round table, proposals were developed, the implementation of which will give impetus to the further development of the field of social entrepreneurship.
Creating conditions for the development of social entrepreneurship makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
October 28, 2023, as part of the campaign «Peaceful creative work for the benefit of a clean and green country!» The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus will hold a single gardening day. On this day, events to plant trees and shrubs, lay out parks, alleys and gardens, as well as care for already planted trees will be held in all regions of the country.
In total, within the framework of a single day of gardening, it is planned to plant more than 60 thousand seedlings of trees and shrubs: linden, maple, oak, rowan, hornbeam, pine, willow, walnut, chestnut, ash, lilac, spirea, thuja, forsythia and others.
In cities, towns, agricultural towns and villages of Belarus, the area of green areas is steadily growing. In 2023, more than 420 thousand trees and shrubs and almost 19 million flowers have already been planted, as well as more than 8.5 thousand seedlings in areas along highways. The required level of landscaping of 40% was achieved in 129 cities and regional centers of the country (97.7% of their total).
Carrying out activities to green the country’s territories makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and other SDGs.
In recent years, propane-butane gas for automobiles has been gaining increasing popularity. In order to make this type of fuel as accessible as possible, the gas station company «Belorusneft» is introducing new approaches. One of them is remote refueling of cars without the direct participation of a gas station operator, allowing customers to independently refuel their vehicle with propane-butane gas.
To date, 12 gas filling stations have been fully equipped and have the ability to operate in a similar remote format. By the end of 2023, it is planned to increase their number to 51, and there will be at least 226 such gas stations in 2025.
When using gas fuel, fewer pollutants are released into the atmosphere, which contributes to the Republic of Belarus achieving Sustainable Development Goal 13 and other SDGs.

On October 23-27, 2023, Minsk hosts the International Youth Forum «Y.I.D. – Youth. Integration. Development», organized by the Belarusian State University. The theme of 2023 «Student initiatives in the context of the world and creation: environmental, social and corporate project management».
More than 100 students from 16 universities in Belarus and Russia will gather at the forum’s discussion platforms.
The event is organized in the format of workshops, which requires active participation of the participants themselves. There will be 13 thematic classes in total. The guys will discuss the development of student self-government as a factor in preserving the traditions of university education, the psychological aspects of organizational leadership, the formation of a corporate culture, and will master the skills of casual conversations. Students will also exchange experience in organizing effective networking between student government bodies. The forum will end with the defense of team projects.

Engineering classes have opened in 212 general secondary education institutions. In total, 35 classes and 191 engineering groups have been opened in the country, in which almost 2 thousand children will study according to a unique curriculum developed by the Belarusian National Technical University.
The learning process is divided into modules – from theory to practice. The first block is informational. The second is career guidance: children get acquainted with specific engineering professions. The educational process includes excursions both to university scientific laboratories and to production. Additionally, children will receive a practice-oriented module: classes in 3D modeling, programming, and robotics.
The functioning of engineering classes in general education institutions will make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 9 and other SDGs.

In order to assist in the development and promotion of small and medium-sized businesses, a new coworking center opened in Minsk on October 23, 2023. In this center, aspiring entrepreneurs will be provided with consulting support on accounting, tax, management issues, as well as the necessary information about all operating entities supporting entrepreneurship in Minsk.
In total, there are more than 100 business support subjects in Belarus today, including 19 business incubators and about 97 business support centers.
The functioning of the co-working center will help strengthen partnerships and develop business activities, which will contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 8 and other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
