From March 27 to April 17, 2023, on the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day, which is celebrated annually on April 2, in institutions of preschool, general secondary, special education, educational institutions implementing educational programs of vocational, secondary specialized and higher education of the republic, various educational activities. Among the events are promotions, exhibitions, competitions, training courses, seminars, flash mobs, information hours, trainings, etc. It is planned to cover more than 70 thousand participants in the educational process.
To date, out of the total number of children registered in the Republican Data Bank on children with special needs, children with autism make up 1.9%. In educational institutions of Belarus, a special adaptive educational environment is being created for this category of students, means of alternative and additional communication are widely used, the activities of the Roadmap for the creation in the Republic of Belarus of a national school for the education and upbringing of children with autism spectrum disorders for 2021-2025 are being implemented.
The creation of special conditions for the education and upbringing of children with autism spectrum disorders contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 10 and other SDGs.

On April 8, 2023, a competition of youth initiatives organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus started in Belarus. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union will carry out and coordinate the implementation of youth initiatives.
The main direction of the implementation of youth initiatives is the creation of conditions for supporting the active participation of young citizens in socio-economic and socio-political processes, the formation and implementation of state youth policy.
Applications for participation in the competition will be accepted until May 8, 2023. From May 16 to May 26, 2023, the winners will be determined. The announcement of the results of the competition and the awarding of the winners will take place on May 31, 2023.
Holding a competition of youth initiatives contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9 and other SDGs.

From April 10 to April 27, 2023, in order to promote the formation of an ecological culture among the population, promote environmental knowledge and draw attention to the rational use of natural resources, the Brest Regional Library named after M. Gorky hosts a month of popularization of natural science knowledge «Green University».
Within the framework of the month, a cycle of diverse events and meetings with representatives of regional and city organizations and enterprises on environmental issues is planned. In addition, during the month the library will exhibit the exhibition «The World. Nature. Man», where about 180 information sources will be presented, as well as an exhibition of children’s drawings on the theme of nature and ecology.
Holding the month of «Green University» will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13, 15 and other SDGs.

The circular economy ensures a more rational use of resources. Re-involvement of waste and secondary resources in the production process significantly reduces the material intensity of production.
Currently, about 32% of secondary resources are processed in Belarus. It is planned to increase the level of processing of secondary resources up to 50% by the end of 2025. To this end, the country has created and is developing an appropriate infrastructure: there are 7 factories, 83 lines for sorting recyclables, more than 1,600 collection points for recyclables from the population. In addition, a concept has already been created, projects are planned for the further construction of factories where garbage will be sorted, cleaned, pressed and involved in further economic turnover.
The use of new technologies and the improvement of the system for collecting and processing secondary raw materials make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13 and other SDGs.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus has completed the prioritization of drafts of the updated National Infrastructure Plan of Belarus for 2021-2025.
The rating of projects was compiled taking into account their impact on the socio-economic and environmental parameters of the development of regions, the prospects for the distribution of productive forces. The rating includes about 2 thousand objects of engineering, transport and social infrastructure. It is planned that the development of the prioritization mechanism and its systematic integration into the existing resource allocation system will be completed in 2023-2024.
The implementation of a systematic approach to infrastructure investment planning will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 10, 11 and other SDGs.

On April 4, 2023, the meeting of the National Coordinator for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in the Republic of Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Valery Belsky with the UN Resident Coordinator and heads of UN agencies in Belarus was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
The participants of the event discussed the joint work and prospects for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by Belarus, as well as the preparations for organizing a meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development dedicated to the International Day of Remembrance for the victims of the Chernobyl accident, which will be held on April 17, 2023.

On March 29, 2023, the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank hosted the Youth Forum «SDGs: up to 16 and older» — the final event of the II Republican competition of creative works «Children about SDGs», organized by the Coordinating Center «Education for Sustainable Development» EE «Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank».
The forum participants were representatives of 32 educational institutions, including kindergartens, secondary schools, lyceums and gymnasiums, centers for additional education for children and youth, children’s art palaces.
Within the framework of the forum, the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Republican competition of creative works «Children about the SDGs», the educational quest «SDGs: first steps towards sustainability», the protection of collages dedicated to various Sustainable Development Goals, as well as the flashmob «SDG marathon» were held.
The youth forum «SDGs: up to 16 and older» makes an important contribution to the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals.

On April 1, 2023, the National Competition «Entrepreneur of the Year» was launched in Belarus, organized by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and stimulating the business activity of citizens.

On March 29 and 30, 2023, Geneva hosted the annual Regional Forum on Sustainable Development, organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe for the countries of the region. The theme of this year is «Ensuring the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the ECE region in times of multiple crises».
The Republic of Belarus took part in reviewing sustainable development processes, monitoring progress and identifying areas for transformative action to achieve the SDGs.
