Short description

In 2014, Tatyana Fadeeva founded the children’s development center “Lesenka” in her hometown of Bereza, Berezovsky district, Brest region. The main goal of the initiative was to support the education and development of children in small towns. The initiative was actively supported by the local authorities of the Berezinsky district and the interested community of parents.

Detailed description

    REGION OF IMPLEMENTATION

    Bereza, Berezovsky district, Brest region

    SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TOPICS

    Economic development and growth
    Technologies and innovations
    Social development

    CONTENTS OF THE ACTIVITY

Today, the children’s development center “Lesenka” offers a wide range of services for leisure activities and additional education, aimed at the intellectual, creative and social development of children. Classes are held for different age categories: from one year old to high school students.

    KEY STEPS OF IMPLEMENTATION:

    • Start of the initiative. The idea of creating the center arose after Tatyana became a mother and realized the acute shortage of suitable educational and entertainment places for children in small towns.
    • Rental of premises and financial support. With the information support of the Education Department of the Berezovsky District Executive Committee, premises were rented and equipped for the needs of the children’s center. Gradually, the center was equipped with modern equipment, which contributed to increasing the efficiency and fun of classes.
    • Adaptation to crisis. Due to the pandemic and the restrictions that arose, offline classes had to be stopped, which led to a 90% decrease in revenue. In response, the center quickly adapted the programs for an online format, training employees to work with remote techniques and platforms.
    • Optimization of business processes. The development of clear procedures and work standards, the introduction of more effective management and the development of a personal brand made it possible to attract more clients.
    • Continuous development and expansion. Tatyana Fadeeva, who successfully completed her master’s degree, does not stop there and continues her research work in graduate school. She is currently writing a dissertation on the current topic “Methods for integrating artificial intelligence technologies into educational practices for children with special needs“.

One of the main modern challenges for the activities of a children’s development center is the development of flexible educational programs that can attract and hold the attention of children remotely.

RESULTS AND IMPACT OF THE INITIATIVE

Adapting to online learning not only helped the center survive difficult times, but also had a positive impact on society and the environment, demonstrating the possibility of sustainable development in education. Today, children and parents can use the online services of an educational platform, although not in full. It is expected that the list of available online courses will soon be expanded, including classes on the development of speech and cognitive functions.

Tatyana Fadeeva continues to provide social support to aspiring entrepreneurs, helping them realize their dreams and open children’s studios and additional education centers in small towns and Minsk.
