13 clusters in various sectors of the economy to be created in Belarus by 2025

The program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025 sets tasks for the formation of sectoral clusters. It is planned that by 2025, 13 clusters will be created in pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, instrument making, woodworking, tourism and other sectors of the economy.

According to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, there are four sectoral clusters in the country in the field of electric transport, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and the green economy, as well as in the IT sphere.

Clustering is one of the effective tools to increase the competitiveness of the economy, and also contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 11, 12 and other SDGs.
