The Regulations on the procedure for creating and maintaining a database for recording the accessibility of social infrastructure facilities (AIS «Accessible Environment») approved in Belarus by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated November 10, 2022 № 760 «On the automated information system for recording the accessibility of social infrastructure facilities».
To date, designs and interfaces of the AIS «Accessible Environment» have already been developed, and information about existing objects has also been collected. From the second half of 2024, information providers will be able to independently enter information about the availability of objects into the database. The map of social facilities accessible to all categories of citizens, including people with disabilities and physically weakened persons, will begin to work in 2025. Information from the database will be posted on a public cadastral map on the Internet.
The functioning of the AIS «Accessible Environment» will make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goal 10 and other SDGs.
