Green areas play an important role in creating a comfortable urban environment. In September 2022, the second stage of testing a digital solution to improve the efficiency of urban greening planning is underway. Citizens of the cities of Korma, Novopolotsk, Pinsk and Novogrudok will conduct a «green inventory» – they will count and describe the condition of trees and shrubs in different parts of the city using the digital platform «Countree».
Any citizen can take part in the inventory of green spaces on pilot sites in his city after completing the introductory training. Applications for participation in the experiment are accepted until September 9, 2022.
The implementation of the initiative to improve the efficiency of urban greening planning contributes to an increase in the area of green spaces, the development of the city’s ecology and contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and other SDGs.
