On August 20, 2024, a meeting of the Public Coordination Ecological Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk.
Council members discussed current environmental issues and reviewed the draft Plan for Interaction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus with the Public on the Promotion and Implementation of Environmental Initiatives for 2024-2025.
The plan envisages measures for organizational interaction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus with the public, measures on the creation of the conditions for the promotion and implementation of environmental initiatives, including the holding of a public forum for the exchange of experience and discussion of topical environmental issues, the republican action “Car Free Day” and other events.
The work of the Public Coordination Ecological Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus contributes to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
