One of the rational models of the circular economy is the sharing economy, which allows to optimize the consumption of resources. This approach is most widespread in such areas as transport, real estate, consumer goods and private services, machinery and equipment, and finance.
Currently, the Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus is working on the adoption of regulatory measures and an action plan for the development of the sharing economy in Belarus, taking into account international implementation experience.
The creation of conditions for promoting the sharing economy is provided by strategic documents: the National Strategy for Sustainable Development until 2035, the Program for the Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025, the National Action Plan for the Development of the Green Economy in the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025 and etc.
The development of the sharing economy in Belarus will contribute to sustainable business, the development of the IT sector, as well as the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 12, 13 and other SDGs.
