By the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated December 30, 2020 No. 777, the State Program “Labor Market and Employment Promotion” for 2021 — 2025 was approved.
The state program is aimed at creating conditions for the unemployed to acquire professional knowledge and skills, increase competitiveness in the labor market, expand employment opportunities, including for categories of the unemployed who have additional job security (orphans, people with disabilities, young professionals, etc.).
In January-November 2021, 13,739 citizens were registered with the employment service as unemployed with additional employment guarantees – 24.9% of the total number of registered unemployed. 9,258 citizens were assisted in finding a permanent job. 423 people were given the opportunity to gain practical experience work.

The prevention of unemployment and the effective use of the existing labor potential make a significant contribution to the achievement of the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 1, 8, 10 and other SDGs.
