From October 27 to November 27, 2021, public discussions are held on the environmental report on the strategic environmental assessment of the draft «Strategy in the field of environmental protection of the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2035».
Public discussions are carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated June 14, 2016 №458 «On approval of the Regulation on the procedure for organizing and conducting public discussions of draft environmentally significant decisions, environmental reports on strategic environmental assessment, reports on environmental impact assessment, accounting for environmentally significant decisions and amendments and additions to some resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus».
The Strategy in the field of environmental protection of the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2035 is a document of environmental planning and forecasting, which defines the strategic guidelines of the state environmental policy.
The Strategy in the field of environmental protection of the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2035 will be considered by the board of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and approved by its decision.
The adoption of the Strategy for Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus up to 2035 is an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
