Belarus creates conditions to expand educational opportunities for children in the regions

The local educational foundation «New School», with the support of OJSC «Sber Bank» and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, launched the educational project «Teacher for Belarus» in 2019.

The initiative is aimed at finding and supporting talented specialists – graduates of both pedagogical and non-pedagogical universities – who are ready to work as teachers in regional or rural schools in order to ensure equality of educational opportunities for children from different regions of Belarus. All program participants are provided with logistical, methodological, educational and curatorial support, as well as the opportunity to implement social, educational and cultural projects.

In order to become a participant in the Program and start working at the school on September 1, 2023, you must fill out an application and pass the selection process. Today, the educational initiative includes 36 partner schools, 26 participants, 27 alumni, more than 9000 students, more than 50 completed projects.

The implementation of the program «Teacher for Belarus» makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 10 and other SDGs.
