Belarus is creating conditions for the growth of investment activity in the regions

In Belarus, special attention is paid to increasing business and investment activity and creating sustainable growth points for the regional economy.
To reduce interregional differentiation and give additional impetus to the implementation of projects in the regions, work has been done in Belarus to reduce existing barriers for investors: construction procedures have been simplified, land relations have been improved, investment conditions have been expanded, the mechanism for starting the implementation of investment projects has been simplified, the Law of the Republic of Belarus «On Investments» has been updated.
Also, the country is working to develop industrial sites in the regions. To date, 40 sites have been selected in the «80 thousand plus» cities – Baranovichi and Pinsk. On their basis, industrial parks are created with small budgetary participation and the involvement of private investors as managers.
Creating conditions for business and investment activity makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, 11 and other SDGs
