On November 28, 2023, as part of the Global Initiative «16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence», a seminar «Joint efforts against domestic violence: comprehensive assistance to victims of domestic violence with an emphasis on vulnerable categories of citizens» was held in Minsk. The event was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Belarus in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.
The seminar participants exchanged professional experience and presented effective practices in Belarus to assist victims of domestic violence, and also discussed new tools for raising awareness on the topic of developing zero tolerance for domestic violence.
Interdepartmental interaction of specialists involved in the prevention of domestic violence, as well as providing support to victims, makes an important contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 5, 10 and other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
