BRFFR launches a contest for young scientists

On December 3, 2024, the II Interdisciplinary Seminar on the Development of Inclusive Tourism in Belarus and the World was held in Minsk.

The seminar was held in a hybrid format (offline and online) and brought together more than 90 participants.

The seminar addressed issues of training specialists in the field of tourism who have the knowledge and skills to work with persons with disabilities. Б The experience of such universities as the Belarusian State University, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, Baranovichi State University, Belarusian State University of Physical Education.

Also, within the framework of the seminar, specialists from the tourism sector presented the experience of tourist facilities and initiatives aimed at providing inclusive tourism services, such as the center for creative solutions “Invisible World”, museum “Castle Complex “Mir”, tourist route “Accessible History of Volkovysk”, information center of the Volozhin district, Zhlobin Museum of History and Local Lore.

In the practical block, participants delved into the features of such an inclusive communication tool as clear language, and also attended the excursion “Independence Square in Clear Language” with recommendations on inclusive communication for tourism specialists.

Based on the results of the seminar, an electronic collection of materials will be published in the electronic library of BSU, the Scientific Electronic Library (RSCI).

The development of inclusive tourism contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 10, 11, 15 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
