BSU will host a conference on demographic risks of the XXI century

On November 19, 2021, at the Belarusian State University, with the support of the UN Population Fund, the VII Interuniversity Student Conference «Demographic Risks of the XXI Century» will be held.

Young people from different countries will have the opportunity to discuss the most problematic fields in the field of demography of individual countries and regions and socio-economic development, to express their point of view regarding possible ways of their regulation in Belarus.

Demographic scientists from Europe’s leading universities will act as international experts. Students, undergraduates and postgraduates from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Turkmenistan will present more than 50 reports in three main areas:

  • «Demographic sustainability and migration challenges of the world. Urban Development Problems»;
  • «Regional problems and cartographic support of socio-economic development»;
  • «Geographic panorama of international tourism in the context of sustainable development».

The conference promotes the expansion of inter-university ties, the exchange of information and best practices in the field of demography, and also contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 17 and other SDGs.
