Competition Sustainable Development Goals Youth Ambassadors – The Future of the Planet in Our Hands is announced

Sustainable Development Goals Youth Ambassador is a representative of the student community, chosen for the year to promote the Sustainable Development Goals. The Youth Ambassadors promote the Sustainable Development Agenda-2030 among young people, inform them about the mechanisms of achieving sustainable development indicators at the local and national levels, help young people to acquire knowledge and professional competences of the XXI century, learn the ideas and principles of sustainable development.
Requirements for the contest participants:
— to be a student at a higher education institution in Belarus;
– to be proficient in Belarusian and Russian (other official UN languages is an advantage);
– to have experience in participating or organizing youth socially significant initiatives. The competition is open to students who were previously awarded the title “Youth SDGs Ambassador”;
– to have skills in public leadership, public speaking and blogging;
– to have the opportunity to actively promote the ideas of Agenda 2030 and the SDGs during the year and participate in events dedicated to this topic.
The contest “Youth Sustainable Development Goals Ambassadors – the future of the planet in our hands” is held in two stages. In the first stage, the participant should do the following before November 10, 2020:
— choose the Goal that Youth Ambassador would like to promote and make a post in social networks Vkontakte, Facebook or Instagram on the topic “Why I am SDGs Ambassador in Belarus”, indicating the corresponding Goal and mentioning the accounts @moladz.by and @youthambassadors.sdgs. The participant’s page in social networks should be open during all stages of the contest.
– fill in the online application form;
– send the concept of his or her activities as a Youth Ambassador for the selected goal for the period from January 5, 2021 to January 5, 2022 to the organizing committee by e-mail: dmoo@tut.by. The name and initials of the contestant and the goal should be indicated in the file name. More detailed information can be found at nchtdm.by and moladz.by.
