Conditions have been created for the work of people with disabilities in Belarus

In Belarus, much attention is paid to stimulating employment, creating jobs for people with disabilities and supporting specialized enterprises.

The Law of the Republic of Belarus «On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Their Social Integration» provides for people with disabilities: the introduction of job quotas from 2025, the opportunity to receive support at all stages of job search with the assistance of a personal assistant, and an increase in the period of adaptation to work. Also, to stimulate the provision of jobs to people with disabilities, employers can count on receiving compensation for expenses for creating jobs, allocating funds for activities to adapt workers with disabilities to work, providing tax benefits, concessions in the payment of mandatory insurance contributions to the Social Security Fund, etc.

In addition, to socialize people with disabilities, territorial social service centers (TSSC) operate clubs and interest groups.

Thus, in the districts of Minsk, 13 departments for social rehabilitation and habilitation of people with disabilities have been created at the TCSON (the services of which are used by almost 800 people with disabilities), 320 clubs of interests, 20 social and labor workshops (in which over 300 people are covered by labor rehabilitation people with disabilities).

Creating conditions for the work of all citizens of the country makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10 and other SDGs.
