Creation of electronic government is one of the national priorities of the Republic of Belarus

The development of e-government, information technology and digitalization can be an innovative solution for the provision of public services during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as a contribution to Sustainable Development Goals 9 “Building a resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and innovation” and 11 “Ensuring openness, safety, resilience and environmental sustainability of cities and towns”.
State program of digital economy and information society development is being implemented nowadays in the Republic of Belarus. According to it the national information and communication infrastructure is being developed, new basic components of e-government are being created, digital solutions are being introduced in the spheres of education, health care and licensing, legislation in the sphere of informatization is being improved, a system of interaction between state bodies and other organizations is being built, a system of e-government is being organized.
In a rating on an index of readiness for the electronic government the Republic of Belarus has taken 40th place. Compared to 2018, this index has increased by 5.8%.
