Development of ecotourism and conservation of rare species to be discussed in Minsk

On January 11, 2023, a press-conference will be held in Minsk on the topic: «Specially protected natural territories of the Republic of Belarus. Development of ecotourism and conservation of rare species».

The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the National Park «Belovezhskaya Pushcha» and the Republican Landscape Reserve «Naliboksky».

During the press-conference, the participants will discuss how the protection of specially protected natural areas in Belarus, rare species of wild animals and wild plants is ensured, the identification of new rare species, and also talk about the development of ecotourism.

The protection and sustainable use of biodiversity makes an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and other SDGs.
