Digital electronics laboratory opened at BSPU

A digital electronics laboratory has begun operating at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank. It will be part of the STEM cluster of the university’s Physics and Mathematics Faculty.
The digital electronics laboratory is a comprehensive center of six zones:
- research of logical elements for the construction of integrated circuits;
- circuit simulation for analog, digital and power electronics;
- programming microcontrollers and microprocessors to study the functioning of digital devices;
- 3D modeling for creating housings for designed devices;
- practical use of knowledge;
- exhibition “From the history of computer science in school”.
The laboratory will be attended by students, postgraduates, pupils of grades 7–10, and specialized classes in pedagogical and engineering fields. The laboratory will also include a program to improve the qualifications of practicing teachers, primarily teachers of physics, mathematics, and computer science.
The operation of the digital electronics laboratory will allow for the development of interdisciplinary competencies and the implementation of an interdisciplinary approach to the training of students, which will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 9 and the other SDGs.
