The possibility of creating a Republican information and educational environment was considered at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, which took place on September 23, 2021 in Minsk.
Within the framework of the formation of an information society and competitive human potential, the education system faces the task of improving all processes through the introduction of digital technologies.
The Concept of Digital Transformation of Processes in the Education System of the Republic of Belarus for 2019-2025 was developed in March 2019.
According to the Concept, the digital transformation of processes in the education system includes the following main directions:
The concept provides for the inclusion of the STEM-approach in the educational practice of institutions of general secondary education, which forms the basis of engineering thinking in a student. For the purpose of educational and methodological support of the educational process in institutions of general secondary education, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has developed a single information and educational resource EEER, and work is also underway to create a republican information and educational environment, which will be a set of automated information systems in the field of education.
The creation of the Republican information and educational environment is aimed at achieving the country’s Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 9, 11 and others.
