On September 3, 2021, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Yuri Nazarov, a seminar «Development of digitalization of industrial enterprises» was held.
The seminar was attended by the heads and specialists of the departments of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the Ministry of Forestry, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Energy, the concerns Bellesbumprom, Belneftekhim and Bellegprom, the State Committee for Standardization, the State Military-Industrial Committee and administration of the Svetlogorsk region.
The purpose of the event was to share the experience of the transition from automation to digitalization, to discuss tools to support the digital transformation of industry, as well as the specifics of introducing digitalization.
The main advantage of digitalization is the expansion of opportunities through new technologies, which increases the efficiency of the enterprise as a whole. Digital technologies allow businesses to analyze sales, inventory, production capacity and operational processes at a new level.
The digitalization of industrial enterprises makes an important contribution to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 9, 12 and others.
