Draft decree on the development of agroecotourism has been submitted for public discussion

The Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus is holding a public discussion on the draft Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus “On the development of agroecotourism”.

The draft provides for the approval of the Regulation on the procedure for the provision of services in the field of agroecotourism, which regulates:

• the range of persons who are entitled to provide services in the field of agroecotourism, as well as the conditions for such activities;
• the list of services provided by agroecotourism entities, their comprehensive provision;
• the procedure for making decisions by district executive committees on the application of fees by individuals for the provision of services in the field of agroecotourism;
• preferential lending to agroecotourism entities with the consolidation of transitional provisions in the draft for already concluded loan agreements;
• ther issues in the field of agroecotourism.

Comments and suggestions can be made in a special topic at the Legal Forum of Belarus until June 22, 2025.

The approval and implementation of the provisions of the Decree “On the development of agroecotourism” will contribute to creating favorable conditions for the development of agroecotourism, improving the living conditions of citizens in rural areas, small urban settlements and improving rural infrastructure, as well as contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goals 10, 11 and the other SDGs.
