Ecological events on the importance of environmental protection were held in Belarus

Every year on June 5, the Republic of Belarus celebrates the Day of Environmental Protection. On the eve of this holiday, environmental events were held throughout the country, the main purpose of which is to raise awareness of the population about the importance of environmental protection.

From May 25 to June 5, 2023, in all regions of the country, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus organized a program that included environmental competitions, volunteer events, open days, photo exhibitions, excursions, free consultations, meetings with students of the «green» schools and students.

Particular attention was paid to familiarizing children with the «rules of behavior in nature» and «eco-habits».

Informing the population about the importance of environmental protection contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 12, 13, 14, 15 and other SDGs.
