Engineering classes have opened in 212 general secondary education institutions. In total, 35 classes and 191 engineering groups have been opened in the country, in which almost 2 thousand children will study according to a unique curriculum developed by the Belarusian National Technical University.
The learning process is divided into modules – from theory to practice. The first block is informational. The second is career guidance: children get acquainted with specific engineering professions. The educational process includes excursions both to university scientific laboratories and to production. Additionally, children will receive a practice-oriented module: classes in 3D modeling, programming, and robotics.
The functioning of engineering classes in general education institutions will make an important contribution to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8, 9 and other SDGs.
