Financial Literacy Week for Children and Youth is held in Belarus

From March 17 to 23, 2025, the Financial Literacy Week for Children and Youth – an annual information campaign to raise financial awareness among young people – is being held in Belarus. This year it is held under the slogan: “Get your personal finances in order”.
Numerous educational events on financial literacy for the younger generation will involve about 500 educational institutions from all over Belarus and will cover approximately 500 thousand children. Within the framework of these events children will be told how to analyze spending, keep records of income and expenses effectively, make a personal financial plan, how to develop financial discipline and create a financial reserve, how to use credit services competently and follow the rules of financial security. It will also focus on the five fundamentals of financial literacy – planning income and expenses, saving, borrowing wisely, investing wisely and how to keep your money safe from financial scammers in the digital space.
The knowledge gained by young people during the lessons will form the basis for building financial planning skills, pushing the boundaries of life opportunities and enabling them to successfully look after their future wealth.
The Financial Literacy Week for Children and Youth contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 1, 4, 8 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
