Gomel Medical College presented their experience of nursing development at the international conference

On April 4-5, 2025 teachers of EI “Gomel State Medical College” took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Prospects for the development of nursing: innovation, education and practice”.

The conference is aimed at the development of scientific activities in the field of technical and vocational education, as well as practical medicine. This is a unique platform for professional communication, exchange of best practices and discussion of topical healthcare issues.

During two days the experience of scientific activity and organization of educational process was shared by medical specialists of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic. A total of 55 reports were presented and two master classes were held within the framework of the conference.

EI “Gomel State Medical College” made an online presentation at the conference on behalf of Belarus, presenting several reports:

• “Topical issues of the healthcare system of Gomel region and training of middle-level medical workers”;
• “Experience in the formation of communicative competencies of future mid-level medical workers through the realization of the principle ”peer teaches peer”;
• “The experience of organizing Olympiads and competitions of professional mastery in the conditions of simulation training as a means of forming professional competencies of future medical specialists”;
• “Experiences of the circle “Oncology and Life Subject”;
• “Using the Standardized Patient Methodology”.

Participation in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Prospects for the development of nursing: innovation, education and practice” will contribute to the improvement of the qualification level of medical workers and quality of medical care, implementation of best practices in nursing, and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 8 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
