In order to increase the level of legal literacy among young people, students of the Faculty of Law of the Belarusian State University launched the project «Street Law».
The idea of the project is to teach schoolchildren the basics of law through modern games containing tasks on legal topics that are maximally adapted to real processes. For example, to put together the name of a legislative document from letters, to fairly divide property in a divorce, to inspect a crime scene, etc. All tasks for games and the topics of meetings are developed by BSU law students, taking into account the age of students.
In addition, within the framework of the project, students will organize lectures and seminars on the rights, duties and responsibilities of every citizen, as well as the legislative foundations of the state.
The project contributes to the formation of civic responsibility, tolerance, the ability to successfully socialize in society, and also contributes to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of Sustainable Development Goals 4, 16 and other SDGs.
