On October 16, 2023, the International Conference «Family at the Center of the State’s Socio-Demographic Policy», organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection with the support of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Belarus, was held in Minsk.
The conference was attended by representatives of republican government bodies, local executive and administrative bodies, the deputy corps, the scientific community, public associations, and youth.
The conference discussed issues of state family policy of the Republic of Belarus, current trends and determinants of fertility in the context of the influence of demographic policy, responsible fatherhood, inclusion in the family, new technologies in preparing future mothers and fathers for childbirth, spiritual and moral education of children and youth, increasing parental competencies in raising children, etc.
Support and protection of family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood are an important element of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
