Marketing research of the tourism potential of industrial enterprises was conducted in Belarus

Belarus has published the results of the marketing research “Industrial tourism in the Republic of Belarus: analysis of the current state and development prospects”, carried out by order of the state institution “National Tourism Agency”.
The chronological terms of the research cover the period from 2015 to 2024. It is at this time that industrial tourism in Belarus is formed and develops as a separate type.
The main objective of the research is to assess the state and prospects of industrial tourism development in the Republic of Belarus.
The research characterized the genesis and historical stages of development of domestic industrial tourism, its classification (industry affiliation, purpose of visit, purpose of impact on the audience, age of the target audience, composition of the group, etc.), foreign experience of industrial tourism development is described and examples of successfully implemented projects are presented. In particular, the experience of European countries (EU project “European Route of Industrial Heritage”, Germany, England, Italy, Baltic States), the People’s Republic of China, the USA and the Russian Federation was considered.
The research also analyzed the tourism potential of industrial enterprises of all regions of Belarus and the city of Minsk and created 64 passports of industrial tourism objects. In the passport you can find detailed information about the enterprise, a description of its tourist opportunities, information about the organization of excursion activities, information about the infrastructure and related services available to tourists.
In addition, the research identifies the most effective ways to promote the tourism potential of industrial enterprises in the market of the Republic of Belarus and abroad, available excursions and routes of tourist trips in Belarus, which include visits to industrial enterprises, as well as list of recommended industrial enterprises for inclusion in excursions and tourist travel routes was complied.
Industrial tourism is an important component of socio-economic development of regions and contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 8, 11 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
