The VI International Water Forum will take place in Minsk on June 3-4, 2021. The forum will be held within the Ecology Expo exhibition-forum and the XVI Republican Ecological Forum and will be dedicated to the theme “Springs of Belarus”.
The main goal of the forum is to discuss problems and work out solutions to sustainable functioning of water ecosystems (including springs), efficiency of water resources use for the country’s economy and their protection in the context of sustainable development principles.
During the thematic sections “Springs as a National Wealth of the Country”, “Problems and Prospects of Water Resources Use in a Changing Climate”, “The Role and Tasks of Environmental Education and Enlightenment to Ensure Water Security”, the Forum will present reports of leading scientists on protection and use of water resources.
Integrated water resources management, protection and rehabilitation of water ecosystems, and improvement of water management are the tasks for achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 “Clean water and sanitation”.
