National Action Plan on Green Economy Development in the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025 is available for public discussion

A draft resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus “On Approval of the National Action Plan on Green Economy Development in the Republic of Belarus for 2021-2025” has been submitted for public discussion.

It is proposed to include in The National Plan a set of measures which will provide for:

• implementation of the sustainable consumption and production principles;
• the development of green finance, circular economy, organic agriculture, ecological (sustainable) tourism, low-carbon power, electric transport (infrastructure) and urban mobility;
• building smart and energy-efficient, green cities;
• climate change mitigation and adaptation;
• conservation and sustainable use of biological and landscape diversity;
• conducting informational, educational activities;
• scientific support for the transition to a green economy.

The public discussion is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. Comments and suggestions can be made in a special topic on the Legal Forum of Belarus.
