Online platform “Regional Initiative” for forming a list of investment projects was launched

In 2025, by transforming the program “One District – One Project”, a new mechanism for supporting investment projects “Regional Initiative” was introduced.

In order to collect and process applications from organizations and subsequently form a list of investment projects “Regional Initiative”, the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs created the online platform “regional-initiative.bel”.

It is envisaged that the list will include projects of small and medium-sized businesses that also meet the following criteria: 

• implemented in the territory of regions, except for regional centers and the city of Minsk, as well as adjacent regions; 
• are significant for the socio-economic development of the region, taking into account sectoral specifics; 
• ensure the creation of new and modernization of existing industries, transport and logistics infrastructure, tourism and recreation, medical services, production and catering facilities; 
• ensure the creation of at least 5 new jobs or employment of at least 5 additional people in existing jobs for new industries. 

Implementation of investment projects “Regional Initiative” makes an important contribution to the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals.
