Priority directions of scientific, scientific-technical and innovation activity up to 2030 are defined in Belarus

On April 1, 2025, the Head of State signed the Decree No. 135, which approves the priority directions of scientific, scientific-technical and innovation activity in Belarus for 2026-2030.

As such directions, the most promising and demanded for Belarus spheres of activity were identified, which allow in the medium term to ensure actual results in science-intensive and high-tech sectors of the economy, competitive advantages and technological security of the country.  These are digital technologies and artificial intelligence, innovative technologies in industry, biological and medical technologies, innovative technologies in agro-industrial complex and food industry, scientific and scientific-technical provision of human, social and state security.

Also, in accordance with these priorities will be formed and approved state programs of scientific research, scientific and technical programs, the State Program of Innovative Development of Belarus for 2026-2030.

Implementation of the provisions of the Decree “On priority directions of scientific, scientific-technical and innovation activities for 2026-2030” will contribute to the achievement by the Republic of Belarus of the Sustainable Development Goal 9 and the other SDGs.
