Priority tasks of regional development for 2022 are identified

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated December 9, 2021 №481 «On the most important parameters of forecasting the socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for 2022», the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus has developed an algorithm for achieving forecast indicators through the prism of regional tasks aimed at reducing the gap in the level and quality of life of the population. The tasks for the development of the regions included:

  • stimulating the inflow of investments;
  • growth in nominal accrued wages;
  • increasing exports — strengthening positions in traditional markets and developing promising ones;
  • growth of own revenues of local budgets, improvement of the business environment;
  • digitalization.

Reducing interregional differentiation contributes to the sustainable development of the country, and also makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the Republic of Belarus Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10, 11 and other SDGs.
