The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus implements the project on temporary employment of young people in social institutions “Time for Good Deeds” started in Belarus.
The project offers young people the opportunity to help the elderly and persons with disabilities. Participants will have the opportunity to work in social institutions and rehabilitation workshops where they will organize events, teach computer literacy and other tasks.
In total, the project will cover 154 institutions across the country, including boarding houses, territorial social service centers, and will provide jobs for about 700 young people. It is open to 14–16-year-olds who will be involved in teaching seniors and people with disabilities, assisting at rental shops and participating in events. Young people aged 16 and over will also be able to try their hand at chaperoning, domestic help and work in workshops.
To take part in the “Time for Good Deeds” project, you should contact the employment service in your place of residence. They will help you choose a suitable institution. The project has already started and will last until the end of 2025. Given the social significance of the initiative, there are plans to extend or expand its format.
The “Time for Good Deeds” project will give participants a unique experience of working in the social sphere, provide an opportunity to decide on their future profession, as well as promote socialization of the elderly and people with disabilities, which will make an important contribution to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10 and the other SDGs by the Republic of Belarus.
