On November 22, 2023, a conference «Towards a sustainable future: ESG challenge» was held in Minsk to exchange experience in ESG transformation and highlight best practices for creating sustainable products and services.
The conference was attended by representatives of republican government bodies, international organizations, the banking sector, manufacturing business, and the expert community.
During panel discussions, experts discussed challenges and opportunities for Belarusian business related to the use of principles of sustainable development and ESG factors in their activities, prospects for regulating issues of sustainable development and ESG in the Republic of Belarus, sustainable development and ESG in the real sector, as well as in the banking sector and insurance sectors of the Republic of Belarus.
The introduction of ESG factors helps improve the economic efficiency of Belarusian enterprises and makes an important contribution to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
